Important Information

  • All requests must be in writing and include a signed consent form.
  • If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian/carer must provide consent.
  • Terms and conditions apply, including identity verification.
  • Requests are processed within 15 business days.
  • Fees:
    • No fee for a short summary.
    • $60 for records exceeding 10 pages.

Exceptions to Access

We will always try to provide access, but by law we may refuse in certain cases, such as:

  • If giving access would pose a serious threat to someone’s life, health, or safety.
  • If it would unreasonably affect another person’s privacy.
  • If the request is frivolous or vexatious.
  • If access is restricted by law or court order.
  • If it would impact ongoing legal proceedings or investigations.

If we refuse access, we will:

  • Explain the reason in writing.
  • Offer alternatives (e.g., a summary or partial access).
  • Provide details on how to make a complaint.
